Grassington; River Wharfe Walk.

Grassington; River Wharfe Walk. - Photographic Walks in North Yorkshire
Grassington is a beautiful village, a short distance along the B6265 from Pateley Bridge. If you park at the Information Centre in the village, you can walk into the village and then directly from the village centre to the river Wharfe down a marked footpath between two drystone walls. The footpath runs along the village side of the Wharfe in either direction. Upstream, there is another weir and abandoned buildings. Downstream, there are more weirs and small waterfalls. Both directions are varied and photogenic.

Look out for: Stop at the bridge that crosses the river before walking along the bank. The river runs over a wier here and then through a narrow gorge, both of which are dramatic and highly photgenic.
