Lost in Thought

This series was influenced by the work of the American artist Edward Hopper and consists of images in which I’m attempting to portray ordinary people who are detached from their surroundings and may be experiencing contemplative thought in everyday situations.

I believe the experience of detachment or isolation from everyday events or from the noise and clutter of one’s everyday life is an everyday occurrence for many adults and during these moments of solitude we can momentarily find ourselves in touch with larger personal issues such as our identity or place within society.
