Industrial Remains

Britain has a rich heritage resulting from industries such as mining and sea ports. Many sites have been closed and cleared but in others neglect has quickly turned to decay with the passing of time and the site has declined into crumbling industrial remains.

The corrupting metamorphosis of time has left a legacy of industrial structures with a bold and extraordinary skeletal outline. These stand against the sky like an art installation whose beauty lies in both the massive form and the detailed texture corroded and created by time and elemental damage.

In this portfolio of images my aim was to explore the profile and framework of these larger constructions and also the form and texture of the smaller still-life remnants in a way which would project the beauty of decay brought about by the corrosion of time.
